I am pleased to report the amazing results I am getting with clients using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in my practice. In February 2012 I completed basic EMDR training through an EMDRIA-approved training facility. Immediately following this training we were to begin using EMDR with clients and obtain consultation from an EMDRIA approved consultant, which I am doing.

The extensive research on EMDR reflects clients experience new insights, unblock pathways and create new ones, and report new perspectives in a matter of days. Client with traumatic pasts and years of traditional “talk therapy” found that although talk therapy is necessary to resolve the trauma, EMDR helped them make advances they never thought possible.

I have discovered all of these to be true in my private practice as well. I am astounded by the results, and look forward to helping many people work through their traumatic pasts and/or trauma experienced present-day.

Research shows that EMDR is helpful for all presenting mental health concerns, such as grief and loss, depression, phobias, PTSD, anxiety, sleep disorders, relationships, addictions, and so much more. If you consider seeking mental health services, consider EMDR!

NOTE: EMDR is not a good “fit” for everyone, a qualified mental health provider will need to assess your individual needs and ensure that EMDR is a good fit for you.
